a haiku for

christine

[1/20/16--3/21/98]

hardly a garden just an excuse to touch the body of earth

she would not let me leave without a flower to plant
i see her everywhere on my land
she helped me scratch the earth around an old apple tree
and we put some garlic cloves in the ground
the area has enlarged and in it this and that plant
from her nature yard
i call it 'the healing garden'
and she is planted deep in my heart
and spirit
my love always to
